Wenhui Qiao


Wenhui Qiao, L.Ac, CMD, is a national board certified (NCCAOM) acupuncturist, licensed in Maryland and Virginia. She received her medical degree from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. Dr, Qiao was the attending doctor with ten years practice in Department of Acupuncture at the China-Japan Friendship Hospital. In 1993, she was the lecturer at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in China. In 1998, she worked as a researcher at the National Institutes of Health where she stayed for eight years.  Wenhui has 30 years of clinical experience in acupuncture and herbal medicine. Many patients have benefited from her excellent acupuncture and moxibustion combined with traditional Chinese medicine treatment. Her specialties include the treatment of fertility & women’s conditions, IVF/IUI, pain conditions, allergies, asthma, hypertension, stroke hemiplegia, tumor radiotherapy and chemotherapy side effects.

Jiang Tan


Jiang Tan, L.AC, CMD, is a national board certified (NCCAOM) acupuncturist, licensed in Maryland. He is the Council Member of the Board of Specialty Committee of External Cancer Therapy of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies. He received his medical degree from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. Dr. Tan had extensive clinical training from his mentor Dr. Chenggu Ye, MD at China Academy of Chinese Medical Science Guang An Men Hospital. As an acupuncturist, Jiang has 26 years of experience. His diverse clinical experience includes: collaboration for pain management and rehabilitation at Dr. Ruijin Yao's practice and performed Traditional Chinese Medicine services such as acupuncture and acupressure for oncologist Dr. Grace Sagayadan’s oncology patients. His specialties include: treating chronic pain conditions, migraine, depressions, insomnia, weight loss, smoking cessation, ADHD, etc.

Zhisong Chen

L.Ac., CMD, Ph.D.

Zhisong Chen, L.Ac., CMD, Ph.D.is a national board certified (NCCAOM) acupuncturist, licensed in Maryland. He received his Medical Degree from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Master Degree of Medicine from China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, and Ph.D. in Immunology from the National University of Singapore. He performed medical research at the National Institutes of Health as his postdoctoral training. Dr. Chen is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Maryland and is a diplomate of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology certified by NCCAOM.  He is also a frequently invited speaker for Acupuncture Association of Metropolitan Washington and an invited reviewer for the journals of International Immunopharmacology and Life Sciences. Previously, Dr. Chen was a senior lecturer at the Academy of Chinese Medicine in Singapore. He has published over 20 articles in academic journals. Dr. Chen applies the art of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine for pain management, side effects of chemo-/radiotherapy, infertility, anxiety, allergy, cough, sinusitis, impotence and some complex disorders.

Ashley Y. Xia

M.B., M.S., Ph.D., L.Ac.

Ashley Y. Xia, M.B., M.S., Ph.D., L.Ac., is a national board certified (NCCAOM) acupuncturist, licensed in Maryland. She received her medical degree from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and received her M.S., Ph.D. and had postdoctoral training in the United States in biology, neurophysiology and neuropharmacology. She has been working in the National Institutes of Health (NIH) since 2003, first at National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and then at National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK). In addition to being knowledgeable in traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr. Xia also has a broad knowledge of the physiology of neuro-immune and neuro-endocrine interactions, which are key mechanisms of acupuncture-activated self-healing. Her specialties are in treating neuro-immune mediated disorders such as allergy, asthma, autoimmune diseases and neuro-endocrine and metabolic disorders such as acne, women’s reproductive disorders, menopausal related disorders, obesity, pre-diabetes and diabetic neuropathies. Besides treating patients with acupuncture, Dr. Xia is also an expert in integrating Tai Chi and meditation to reduce stress and cultivate health.
